Anger triggers the body’s ‘fight or flight’ response.

It’s an automatic response by your sympathetic nervous system- like a gas pedal. Triggers the fight-or-flight response, providing the body with a burst of energy.

Energy= stress hormones, such as adrenaline and cortisol.

Chronic low-level, simmering, and stewing keeps the chemicals activated and ready to go- much like a motor that is idling too high for too long.

Constant and building anger is harmful to the body and often ignored because a person has become accustomed to living in a toxic and over-stimulated environment.

Look out for-

digestion problems, abdominal pain, ulcers, indigestion

weight- elevated cortisol levels inadvertently contribute to the buildup of fat tissue and to weight gain, increasing the storage of unused nutrients as fat.

Insomnia

chronic pain

high blood pressure

heart attack

stroke

headache

weakens your immune system

Mental effects-

Self-doubt

Isolation

Regret

Shame

Depression

Anxiety
